C is for Cookie!

I saw an idea from Erin Gonzales on Pinterest using our Tag a Bag Gift Boxes with Cookie Monster on it...adorable! I wanted to re-create but I wasn't sure how to make the mouth. Inspiration hit me at the retreat! I used the bitty banners framelit all the way across to get the jagged teeth along with the circle punches for Cookie Monsters crazy eyes.

Cookie, cookie, cookie starts with "C".

I found the individually wrapped oreos on sale at Wal-greens...Woo Hoo!

It's Raining, It's Pouring...

My boys are still in bed snoring! It was so relaxing to wake up to the sound of rain. Fall is definitely on its way and I have some beautiful cards to share with you.

This card uses our #131868 Magnificent Maple (w) $9.95 stamp from our Holiday Catalog.

Two more Fall items #131733 Truly Grateful (c) $19.95 and the #132171 Expressions Thinlets Dies $24.95 are used to created this card.
TIP: When using the thinlits dies make sure that you place a layer of wax paper between your card stock and the die so that removing the words is quick and easy. The letters just pop right out with your paper piercing tool when you use wax paper.

Again the #131733 Truly Grateful (c) $19.95 stamp is used for this card along with our #132184 Sweater Weather DSP $10.95 also found in our Holiday Catalog.

Hope you enjoy...thanks for stopping by!

Retreat Activities

Lori planned some activities for us to do...Woo Hoo! Decorating a witch hat, a goodie bag swap, a card swap and "a surprise challenge."

The Witches Hats

Don't they all look great? All of the girls brought some supplies:
tulle, ribbon, Halloween picks, spiders, flowers, stickers and paper.
We all mixed and matched the supplies to decorate our hats.

For those of you who know me, I had to "tweak" my witches hat the next morning. I attached the spooky to a gerber daisy which made it pop.

The Card Swap

Aren't these cards AWESOME? The owl card was my swap. I really enjoyed making this card...it put me in the mood for Halloween. So sorry I forgot to take pictures of the goodie bag swap:o(.
Oops...I am sorry I forgot to post that my inspiration came from a card created by Jeanne Streiff.

"The Challenge"

Saturday morning Lori handed each of us a sheet of paper (When Pigs Fly by Graphic 45) and a coffee stirrer and told us to make something with those two items...and that is what we did! Here are the projects we came up with.

I think we tackled this challenge:o)

I am back!

So sorry this past week was super crazy. I have been taking pictures, crafting and went on a weekend retreat with a group of AWESOME girls! It was so beautiful in Lindale, Texas. We had a blast. Here are a few pictures I took for my photography class.

This cute cuddly creature showed up at our doorstep wanting to be loved and we named him Chester. He hung out with us all weekend and I followed him for about an hour taking pictures of him...this was the sweetest!

Look at this picture...I love it! There was a cobweb behind the chime and the sun just lit it up.

This vase was on the porch of one of the cabins and the color caught my eye.

And this is our cabin which slept 6 of us.

I will post more pics of my weekend getaway.

Hope you enjoy...thanks for stopping by!
